Ali + George
Ali and George’s engagement season was such a special one for us, in more ways than one. I had the honor of photographing their engagement session and their at-home reception, but also standing by Ali’s side on her wedding day as her man of honor. Ali and I have been best friends for nearly ten years, and over that time I have taken her photos more times than I can count. Being able to capture this chapter of her life meant everything to me.
Their engagement session took place on a beautiful sunny day at High Cliff State Park. The light, the views, and the relaxed energy of the day made it such a perfect setting for them. Ali and George were completely themselves, and their connection came through so naturally in every moment. It felt extra meaningful knowing how long I have watched their story unfold and getting to document this milestone for them.
Later on, their at-home reception was held at the Appleton Yacht Club and it was absolutely beautiful. The space was filled with so much love, joy, and celebration, and it was amazing to be able to help capture those memories while also being there for my best friend. We did not photograph their wedding day itself, and that was very intentional. I wanted to fully experience the day alongside Ali, support her, and be present in a way that I do not often get to be.
Ali and George’s wedding was incredible, and we are so happy for them as they start this next chapter together. Being able to support my best friend, celebrate their love, and capture parts of this season for them is something I will always be grateful for.
